Being like this isn't so bad. Our pack's... fractured. Complicated, as the Facebook parlance goes. I think in a year's time you may have a different take on it all. But we have time now, enough to let things settle in.

You say that now. But there's something about pack you'll come to learn, even if you never grow to like either of them-- with a pack, you are never alone. Never unprotected, never abandoned. Once we've all bonded, the little things won't matter anymore.
